Sight and Sound has released their critics' top 250 films of all time. Sergei Parajanov's THE COLOR OF POMEGRANATES placed #122 on the poll.
THE COLOR OF POMEGRANATES is tied alongside films such as THERE WILL BE BLOOD, THE MATRIX, JOHNNY GUITAR, THE UMBRELLAS OF CHERBOURG, and ONLY ANGELS HAVE WINGS. In 2012, the last time the poll was conducted, THE COLOR OF POMEGRANATES came in at #84.
In Sight and Sound's most recent Directors' poll, leading directors from around the world ranked the film at #93.
