Armenian Film Society has announced their expansion into the United Kingdom with the creation of a branch in London.
Founded in 2015, Armenian Film Society has hosted over 100 events in Los Angeles and holds partnerships with notable organizations. In 2023, Armenian Film Society launched the Armenian Film Festival, which is held every year in Glendale, California.
The newly established London branch will be spearheaded by curator Kira Adibekov and filmmaker Tatevik Ayvazyan.
Kira Adibekov is an award-winning curator, producer and Chevening alumnus with MA in Film and Screen Cultures from the University of Roehampton. Kira Adibekov has curated and produced numerous film seasons, live events, and cross-disciplinary shows, including This Is Not (a) Cinema at Whitechapel Gallery.
Tatevik Ayvazyan is a writer and producer at Rebel Republic Films and the former director of the Armenian Institute. Tatevik Ayvazyan is also a board member of the International Armenian Literary Alliance and Azad Archives, and co-editor of the upcoming Special Armenian Issue of Wasafiri magazine.

The goal of Armenian Film Society has always been to make Armenian cinema accessible to all audiences, and this move will allow us to showcase Armenian films and filmmakers with audiences in the UK,” said Armen and Mary Karaoghlanian, Founders of the Armenian Film Society.
The organization plans on announcing London-based events based at a later date.
