Aurora's Sunrise, Armenia's submission to the 2023 Academy Awards, will screen at the Asian World Film Festival in Los Angeles on November 10 and November 14. Director Inna Sahakyan will participate in a Q&A after the 6pm screening on November 10 in Marina del Rey.
The film also has additional screenings set up in other countries for the month of November, including the IDFA - Best of Fests (Netherlands), Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival (Estonia), and Scanorama (Lithuania). In an exclusive interview with Armenian Film Society, director Inna Sahakyan and producer Eric Esrailian spoke about their work on the film.
Armenia is hoping for its first Oscar nomination. The Academy will announce shortlists in various categories on December 21. Oscar nominations will be announced on January 24.
Aurora's Sunrise is currently in theatres in Yerevan from now until November 17 at the Moscow Cinema and Cinema Star Dalma Garden Mall.
