Armenian Film Society has set screenings at various California universities for Tigran Nersisian's short documentary BACK TO ASHTARAK.
Armenian Film Society joined the film's production team following its world premiere in Glendale, California in September 2022. The news was announced by The Armenian Weekly.
BACK TO ASHTARAK centers on its director, who returns to his hometown of Ashtarak in Armenia to relive the happiest moments of his childhood. The screenings kick off at UCLA this evening and carry over into April.
Wednesday, February 22 at 7pm: UCLA
Monday, March 6 at 6:30pm: UC Irvine
Friday, March 10 at 7pm: CSU Fresno
Friday, April 21 at 7pm: UC San Diego
All screenings are open to the public and will be followed by a Q&A. Armenian Film Society will share more details about each screening on its social channels.
