MY SWEET LAND follows 11-year-old Vrej, who dreams of becoming a dentist in his village in Artsakh, which has been at the heart of a violent dispute between Azerbaijan and Armenia since the 1980s. The film was Jordan’s official submission for Best International Feature at the 2025 Academy Awards but was withdrawn following political pressure from Azerbaijan. MY SWEET LAND is now having an Oscar-qualifying theatrical release for Best Documentary Feature.
